Russian stunner Elena Dementieva posed with kangaroos, koalas and ostriches at Melbourne Zoo today.
Elena will play Carla Saurez Navarro (who knocked out Venus) in tomorrow's QF match. Of the remaining players in the draw, I'll be rooting on Elena to take the title! Win it for Mommy Vera :(
A whole heap more photos of Elena Dementieva at the zoo below, so read on...

Dementieva has gotten off to a great start in 2009 with back to back tournament wins in Auckland (an International tier event) and now Sydney - a Premier tier. She was too strong for fellow Russian Dinara Safina, taking the victory in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.

Above is the gorgeous Elena Dementieva at Darling Harbour.

Lucie is a pretty girl in real life, but her photos never seem to turn out right (this particular one reminds me of the Exorcist girl walking backwards down the stairs).

Photos: Emotional Mauresmo wins in Paris
Amelie Mauresmo beat Elena Dementieva 7-6(7), 2-6, 6-4 to take the Open GDF SUEZ title in Paris. This is Mauresmo's first title in 2 years... and I think it's safe to say: welcome back Amelie!
Amelie was quite emotional after the victory and broke into tears. Here's what she had to say (via WTA):
"I'm just happy it finally showed after a couple of years of struggling. During the last few months in practice I could see there were some great moments, but it was only showing in matches now and then. I didn't know when my consistency at this level was going to happen again, or if it would."Read more for the full pics!
"When you look at the field and all the great players that were here in Paris, I'm very happy and very proud about this week."
